TSAFAPOTWA Winner For the Week of 10/12/08

Does the Cantankerousness know no bounds?!?

This week's recipient of the The-Super-Awesome-Fantastic-Amazing-Person-Of-The-Week-Award is bar none, the best Bible Study teacher I've ever had the pleasure of learning under...Dana Pruitt.

Dana leads the Precept studies that I attend and she has truly been a blessing upon not only my life, but also all those who attend the class with me. For those that don't know, Precept is a pretty intense inductive bible study, for which the leader must be a cut above, of which Dana most certainly is.

One of the first things that jump out you when you first meet Dana is her diminutive size...the woman is tiny. However, spend more than a few minutes with her speaking about the Lord and the Word, and she becomes ten feet tall. Her knowledge and passion of scripture is truly inspiring, admirable, and worthy of pursuit. And if that were the best you could say about Dana, it would be worthy of much praise, but it doesn't end there. Her passion and gifts for teaching others not only to read the Word, but to understand the Word, to dig deeper, to have a fuller, more complete understanding is really amazing. And she does it in such a way as to make it enjoyable and exciting. How many people can say that about a course that has you looking up Greek, Hebrew, and cross referencing like there is no tomorrow? Talk about a gift.

It should also be mentioned that the woman has the patience of a saint. She leads a class full of women and bless her soul...me. If you read this blog, or heaven forbid have endured a Bible study/group with me, then you have a fair idea of what poor Dana is up against. Yet, she has never done anything but to make me feel welcomed and part of the group. And the best part? When I get a little ornery and squirrelly? She's not the least bit afraid to dish it right back :)
For these reasons, Dana is this week's TSAFAPOTWA winner. Thank you so much for all that you do and are Dana. You truly are a blessing to all who study under you!
